How to apply ConvaTec Moldable Strips

Stomahesive Strips (ostomy purposes)

  • Cut the Stomahesive strip to the length of the skin fold, scar or crevice
  • Remove the backing paper from only one side of the s trip and press into place
  • Remove the outer backing paper
  • Apply the ostomy wafer over the Stomahesive Strips

Stomahesive strips (use with male external catheters)

  • Remove excess hair if necessary
  • Cut the Stomahesive Strips to a length which is slightly longer than the circumference of the penis
  • Remove the silicone release paper from one side of the strip only and attach the strip midway up
  • Press well into place allowing one or two minutes for good adhesion
  • Press the overlapping ends of the adhesive mass together to form a continuous sealing ring as shown
  • Remove the remaining release paper and attach the male external catheter
